The Headshots 03/22/2012
 
Had a fun shoot with Hezekiah O'Neal from Flagstaff, AZ the other day doing some head shots for some upcoming modeling opportunities. Worked with some pretty simple lighting for this - strip soft box and a grid light. Future face we might be seeing? Maybe! Check out some pictures below! Congratulations to Amanda & Ryan on their big day last week! Had a great time shooting their wedding - which looked beautiful... It was over at the Flagstaff Elk's Lodge! The place had been decorated wonderfully, plus a gorgeous view outside. Check out some pictures from the shoot!

Got a fun new project to work on! Doing a series that works with alternative lighting - creating shadows by lighting people through different textures such as lace and cheap patio furniture... It's harder than it looks. The series was inspired by a brief shoot done last year through a lace tablecloth:

So yesterday went and had a first shoot for the official series and went and whipped out that lace tablecloth again to try it out in a studio setting. Had a great first shoot with Alaina Souers who was absolutely great to work with... Also thanks to the boyfriend who took standing for an hour holding a lace tablecloth (which was just not cooperating with the studio lights) very well and without much complaint. 

After a lot of frustration trying to figure out why the lace had worked with the sun and wouldn't work with the studio lights in making some good shadows (and some resulting images completing lacking any shadow but still cool), finally got things working and had an awesome shoot... check out the rest of the shoot below!

In a sad, sad turn of events, I have finally upgraded from my first and original camera. A great camera that has made it on every adventure I have, including my first trip to Europe.

Although I was unaware this would be it's last shoot, I was pleased not only with the resulting images, but also a new offer it has inspired - the boudoir shoot.  


And so in tribute to the late 40d, here's the last shoot of the loyal Canon.

Very fun shoot with some great image! She also purchased a very cool new product that makes a great gift for significant others - a custom flask made with a heat emulsion that let's some of the silver shine through
